Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are teaming up again for another movie project.
Affleck is set to direct, write, co-star and produce while Damon will star in, write and produce an untitled film about the life story of former Nike executive Sonny Vaccarro, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The two will be joined by production company Mandalay Pictures.
Damon will play Vaccarro and Affleck will play Nike co-founder Phil Knight. The film will follow Vaccarro’s story as he sets out to sign Michael Jordan with the shoe brand.

This project will be Affleck’s first time directing Damon in a film. However, this isn’t Affleck and Damon’s first time working together.
The duo won an Oscar for writing the screenplay for “Good Will Hunting,” in which they both appeared. Damon and Affleck also appeared together in “The Last Duel” in 2021.
Affleck previously spoke about working with longtime friend Damon while promoting “The Last Duel.”

“I grew up with this guy, I’ve known him forever,” Affleck told E! News. “We come from the same world and the same place, and we’ve stayed close and I often think of people who come into this business and there are challenges thrown at you,” Affleck explained. “And having someone to go through that with me and bounce on stuff has been really helpful.”
“You’re lucky if you do the work you love and even more so if it’s with people you love,” he added.
Damon also opened up about his childhood bond with Affleck.

“Like, I don’t want to be his friend in public, you know what I mean?” Damon told People magazine.
“It’s way too important a friendship for that, and it’s so much beyond this career or anything. You know, it’s an important part of my life and not for public consumption in that way. “
