‘Becoming a liability’, ‘this guy is hot cakes’ – Arsenal fans point to ‘really bad’ player who ‘got out of jail’ despite mistake against Manchester United

Arsenal fans have good reason to be upset with Aaron Ramsdale as the Gunners keeper made a shocking error which nearly led to a goal.

In the 11th minute he played a rather poor pass behind the back, sending the ball straight to Manchester United. The ball came to Bruno Fernandes who tried to kick the ball over Ramsdale, but Gunners defender Gabriel saved the keeper by blocking the attempt.

Luck would have leveled the Red Devils had it come in, and some Arsenal fans were understandably furious with the goalkeeper for his near-fatal error. Here is a selection of tweets from disgruntled fans:

Superb defense from Gabriel there. I got Ramsdale out of jail

Ramsdale don’t do this again please

Ramsdale needs to wake up. It’s been shit for weeks now

ramsdale again dear me this guy is hot cakes

It’s not even funny to joke about Ramsdale anymore, he’s just really bad

Now at half-time, the Gunners currently lead the game 2-1, thanks to an early goal from Nuno Tavares, as well as a penalty from Bukayo Saka. They will have to be wary as United are down a goal, thanks to a brilliant run and finish from Red Devils superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

Both teams are aiming for the Champions League places in the league, and the winner of this clash will certainly improve their chances before the end of the season.

Arsenal intend to sign Youri Tielemans: Reports

According to CBS Sports’ Ben Jacobs (via The Daily Cannon), Arsenal have become favorites to secure the services of Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans. The report says the Gunners have held fruitful talks with the star’s representatives and are confident of securing his services this summer.

The Belgian has reportedly refused to sign an extension with the reigning FA Cup holders and is available for £25million, with his current contract due to expire in the summer of 2023.

Tielemans has been impressive since joining Leicester and has caught the eye of clubs across Europe who have been keeping tabs on the midfielder. He has found the back of the net seven times and provided three assists in 42 games for Leicester City this season, and is considered a bright prospect in European football.

If the reports are correct, Mikel Arteta will add another talented young player to his young and hungry Arsenal squad.
