Barron Trump picked to serve as a Florida delegate at Republican National Convention

Barron Trump, the youngest child of former President Donald Trump, has been chosen as one of Florida’s traveling delegates to the Republican National Convention, according to a list of delegates obtained by ABC News.

In response to the announcement of Barron Trump’s selection as one of Florida’s at-large delegates to the Republican National Convention, a Trump campaign official told ABC News that the former president’s youngest son was ” very interested” in the political process.

“Yes, he is part of the delegation and Barron is very interested in the political process in our country,” the campaign official said.

Other members of the Trump family who played an active role in Trump’s presidential campaign will also serve as general delegates, including Trump’s eldest sons, Eric Trump, Don Jr. Trump and his girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle, and the Trump’s youngest daughter, Tiffany Trump.

Eric Trump will chair the delegation while Guifoyle will be a member of the platform committee.

The list also includes close allies of the former president who will serve as delegates, including Pam Bondi, Sergio Gor, Steve Witkoff and Ike Perlmutter.

“We are fortunate to have a great group of local leaders, elected officials and members of the Trump family working together as Florida’s delegation to the 2024 Republican National Convention,” the party chairman said. Florida Republican Evan Power in a statement. “RPOF is ready for a big convention in Milwaukee, but more importantly, we’re excited to continue laying the foundation for success in Florida. Mark my words, we’re going to win and we’re going to win big in November!”

NBC was first to report that Barron Trump had been chosen as a delegate.
