Banana pudding eats champion who knocked down 15 pounds of pudding in national contest

MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) — How much banana pudding do you think you can eat? That’s the question competitors at the Major League Eating World Banana Pudding Championship answered in Madison on Friday night.

The objective among the contenders was to see who could eat the most banana pudding in eight minutes.

Geoff Esper, the winner of the contest, set the world record by eating over 15 pounds of banana pudding. It’s the first time a banana pudding contest has been held, so Esper’s victory sets the bar high.

Esper’s pain was not in vain, however, as the top 6 finalists all walked away with cash prizes. Esper won the grand prize of $1,500.
