So why did he create Baby reindeer? “All I ever wanted was to capture something complex about the human condition,” Gadd wrote in the series’ description on Netflix. “That we all make mistakes. That no one is ever good or bad. That we are all lost souls looking for love in our own strange ways.”
He added: “Hoping that among all these messy, complicated and fucked up themes, Baby reindeer throws you so people will notice his beating heart.”
