Sergio Perez is the man in form for Red Bull after securing a frantic victory around Monaco a fortnight ago at the expense of Charles Leclerc.

The Ferrari man took fourth place after a series of mistakes by his team, although he bounced back on Saturday to secure pole position for today’s race. Max Verstappen holds a nine-point lead atop the Drivers’ Championship heading into the race with Perez now fully in the title fight, just behind Leclerc.

George Russell and Lewis Hamilton in the Mercedes are also hoping for a better weekend after suffering further setbacks in their bid to gain ground on the leaders last time out. They start fifth and seventh respectively.
