Authorities identify man killed in DeKalb County crash

DEKALB COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Authorities identified a man who died Wednesday in an accident in DeKalb County.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) has confirmed that 51-year-old Carl R. Nestor was fatally injured when the vehicle he was driving left the road and overturned.

Authorities said Nestor died at the scene.

The crash happened around 4:30 p.m. on DeKalb County Road 89 near CR 130, about a mile south of Fort Payne.

FTA soldiers continue to investigate the crash.
