Auburn University buys new facility in Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Auburn University has announced that it will soon expand to Huntsville with the purchase of a new research facility in Cummings Research Park.
In a press release Wednesday morning, the university said it has reached an agreement with LogiCore Corporation to purchase two buildings over 40,000 square feet on a nine-acre lot at 345 Voyager Way Northwest.
The land is minutes from the Gate 9 entrance to Redstone Arsenal as well as several Auburn research partners in the defense, aerospace, law enforcement and biotechnology industries.
Auburn says the new facility will help the school establish a permanent foundation in the Huntsville area.
Plans for the facility will include laboratories for on-site research and development in critical technology areas, meeting spaces, exercises and more.
According to the press release. LogiCore, a technology services company, held the property from 2015 to 2022. Sample Properties acted as broker for the deal.
