At least 14 shot dead in downtown Philadelphia shooting


At least 11 people were injured and three killed in a shooting Saturday night in downtown Philadelphia.

CBS News reports that Philadelphia Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw noted that one of the alleged gunmen was killed in the shooting.

Outlaw said Gregory Jackson, 34, was “involved in a physical altercation with another man who potentially initiated the shooting. These individuals eventually began shooting at each other, with both being shot, one fatally.

One of the other fatalities was identified as Alexis Quinn, 27, and the third fatality was listed as an unidentified 22-year-old man.

Breitbart News noted that there were nine shootings in Philadelphia from Friday through Saturday afternoon – nine shootings before Saturday night’s shooting.

One of these shootings resulted in the death of a pregnant woman in her twenties. FOX 29 reports that the woman had been shot in the head when police found her on Saturday ‘on Richmond Street and Wheatsheaf Lane shortly before 1.30am’

The woman died, but doctors were able to save her baby.
