As Ukraine regains territory near Kharkiv, Russia prepares for wider war

Congress is tonight considering a new aid package for Ukraine, including an additional $40 billion in arms and economic and humanitarian aid.
It comes as senior intelligence officials told senators today that Russian President Putin is aiming for a longer and broader war, not just in eastern Donbass but with other hotspots along the southern coast of Ukraine.
Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines has warned that such plans could push the conflict down a devastating new path.
