Arteta seeks Arsenal’s reaction to Newcastle after Anfield dressing room investigation

We’ll have to wait for Amazon to release their Arsenal documentary to really get to what the Anfield locker room looked like after the 4-0 loss to Liverpool last weekend.

But, according to Mikel Arteta, the cameras will have picked up something he has never seen before. Something he thinks shows his young side’s progress and gives him confidence that he will see a positive reaction against Newcastle on Saturday.

After Arsenal’s 10-game unbeaten streak came to an abrupt end in Merseyside, the players decided to hold a full-time investigation. Harsh words have been exchanged, but Arteta believes the frank discussions are a positive sign.

“I really liked the reaction we already had in the Anfield dressing room after the game,” he said.

“This is something that hasn’t happened before, and I’m really happy it’s happening right now. How some players have shown leadership and described what happened in a really way. honest, and have looked to the future.

“There are always bumps in the road, there are results, there are injuries, there are issues that you have to face and I really like the way the team reacted during the week.”

Arteta hasn’t disclosed exactly what was said in the dressing room but you suspect the players didn’t hold back after being blown away by Liverpool.

For this young Arsenal team, the loss at Anfield was a new experience. Since all of their summer signings were gathered after the transfer window closed at the end of August, the Gunners have not lost a game. Now is the time to show what they’re really made of.

Riding the wave of positivity of the past few months, this team that Arteta is molding hasn’t had to deal with many bumps in the road. The game against Newcastle, however, feels like a time when they have to show there is substance to go with their style.

After Newcastle, Arsenal face trips to Manchester United and Everton before the busy Christmas schedule is in full swing. Now is not the time for the wheels to come off, and there was no sign in training this week that they will.
