Arsenal vs Chelsea LIVE: Premier League score and goal updates as Leandro Trossard fires in opener

‘We’ll really try’ – Arteta on title fight ahead of Chelsea game on Tuesday

Arsenal host Chelsea this evening in a midweek London derby in the Premier League. The Gunners have the chance to move four points clear of Manchester City in the Premier League table, but the Blues and Mauricio Pochettino will look to deny the hosts and deal a major blow in the title race.

Chelsea have won the Premier League five times since Arsenal last won the title 20 years ago, but Mikel Arteta’s side are set to finish above the Blues for the second year in a row and can add further disappointment to their difficult season with a victory tonight. Chelsea were beaten in Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final, despite being the better team against Manchester City, as missed opportunities once again cost Pochettino’s side.

The visitors are without star striker and Premier League top scorer Cole Palmer this evening due to illness, while Arsenal will look to build on Saturday’s victory against Wolves. Arteta’s side were facing the prospect of another end-of-season crisis after back-to-back defeats to Aston Villa and Bayern Munich, and tonight is a must-win for the Gunners as they look to build pressure on champions Manchester City.
