Arsenal team news: Reiss Nelson in line to face Bodo/Glimt as Mikel Arteta turns for Europa League

Nelson suffered a thigh injury in August and it forced him to the sidelines.

The winger, however, returned to training towards the end of last month and was fit enough for a place on the bench in Saturday’s North London derby win over Tottenham.

Nelson is now hoping to secure Europa League minutes on Thursday night, with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta likely to rotate his squad ahead of Sunday’s clash with Liverpool.

Wingers Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli could well be rested, which would open the door for Nelson to get some action as Emile Smith Rowe is injured.

Brazilian winger Marquinhos, who impressed in Arsenal’s first-round win in Zurich, is set to start again after impressing since joining the club in the summer.
