Arsenal played ‘like Barcelona’ against Leicester, says ex-Tottenham star Jamie O’Hara, who apologizes to William Saliba and loves ‘summer signing’ Gabriel Jesus

Arsenal play so well that even former Tottenham player Jamie O’Hara likes to watch them.

The Gunners have had a very positive start to the season, picking up a maximum of six points in their opening two Premier League games.

Their first saw them pick up a win at Crystal Palace, and their second saw them embrace the style as they thrashed Leicester four times on Saturday.

Shortly after the game ended, O’Hara said on GameDay Phone-In: “Arsenal look like Barcelona…Gabriel Jesus is a joy to watch.”

O’Hara’s somewhat reluctant enthusiasm for Arsenal’s play continued on Monday’s edition of talkSPORT Breakfast as he capped off Jesus, who scored twice and had two assists against Leicester, of “signature of the summer”.

The talkSPORT host also apologized to centre-back William Saliba, who finally gets a first-team run in his fourth year as an Arsenal player.

Of Jesus, O’Hara said, “He’s part of everything they do, his building game is good. You can stick it to him and he can hold it, he will drop the balls, he works hard and defends for the team.

“He just has something special in and around the box. He’s got those quick feet, he’s got that sharp mind where you can see an opportunity.

“Pull something like this out of the bag [his first goal]without looking back, these are world-class attributes you are showing at Arsenal.

“He’s the rookie of the summer, absolutely. And it pains me to say that being a Spurs fan but he’s absolutely brilliant. I love watching him play.”

And on Saliba, O’Hara added: “I wasn’t sure about him because he went on loan, I hadn’t seen him play much. I thought maybe he wasn’t up to it to play in this team.

“And I apologize, I was absolutely wrong. He’s the real deal, what a signature.

“What a player he is and I know he’s young but he could be sensational.

“He still has things to work on, like his positioning, but he looks really, really good.

“But Arsenal will concede goals, in the full-back areas you can hit them. I like Oleksandr Zinchenko but he’s not great one-on-one so I think that will be a problem for them in terms of position. But to move forward…”
