rsenal are sweating over Bukayo Saka’s fitness after limping off in their 3-1 win over Manchester United.
Saka had to be substituted in the 74th minute as Arsenal bolstered their Champions League qualification hopes with a crucial victory at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta gave an update on Saka’s fitness after the match.
Speaking to BT Sport, Arteta said: “We had four or five difficulties getting into the team before. He was one, White was one, Granit had an eye problem, Eddie didn’t play. for several minutes.
“The boys are doing everything they can to be on the pitch and I feel lucky.”
During his press conference, Arteta then said, “Bukayo was struggling to start the game but he wanted to start. He had a big blow the other night. Let’s see how he is.”
The win over United put Arsenal above fifth-placed Tottenham in the battle to finish fourth.
Arteta said: “I think a great performance in a game had it all.
“Moments when we really showed quality, a game where we had to suffer, a game where there were times when we were a little lost and lacking energy, a game where we were really effective in the clubs, a match where we were lucky when we needed it.
“Overall, I’m extremely happy.”
