Thomas Partey is ‘a few weeks’ away from his return, but Bukayo Saka is ready to start.
Saka was on the bench in England’s win over Scotland, coming off to play the final 19 minutes amid reports of an Achilles problem.
Mikel Arteta, however, insisted the winger was fine during his pre-match press conference and had trained as normal on Friday ahead of the trip to Goodison Park.
“He’s fine, he trained normally today so there’s nothing to report there,” Arteta said. “Every player always has pain or problems, but there is nothing to worry about.”
Arsenal are, however, without Partey this weekend as the midfielder is still recovering from a groin injury sustained just before the international break.
The Ghana midfielder is reportedly targeting a return to action next month and Arteta has confirmed he will be out for a while longer.
“It’s still a few weeks away,” Arteta said. “He has a muscle injury and he is progressing well, but he still has a few weeks left.”
Fabio Vieira starts in midfield for Arsenal, with Kai Havertz named on the bench. Eddie Nketiah is preferred ahead of Gabriel Jesus.
Starting XI: Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Rice, Vieira, Odegaard; Saka, Nketiah, Martinelli.
Submarines: Ramsdale, Tomiyasu, Kiwior, Jorginho, Havertz, Trossard, Smith Rowe, Nelson, Jesus
