Armed command attacked the municipal headquarters of Moctezuma in SLP; reported “uprising” of police

The wave of violence that has occurred in various states of the Republic reached Potosí lands, where on the morning of this August 16 a armed attack on the municipal headquarters of Moctezuma.

The events were recorded around 5:00 in the morning and during the disturbances a couple of official vehicles of the corporation were set on fire. Likewise, it transpired that several police elements were deprived of their liberty.

In this regard, the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection of San Luis Potosí announced that the surveillance work in said municipality -both terrestrial and aerial- in the presence of armed civilians.

In this way, members of the state Civil Guard and troops of the National Guard and the Mexican Army deployed an operation in the demarcation to find the alleged perpetrators of these attempts at violence.

“Patrols and tours will be implemented in several locations, in order to locate those who allegedly carried out detonations in the municipal headquarters about 5 o’clock in the morning this day.”
