Argentinian Javier Milei castigates Spaniard Pedro Sánchez after minister’s insults over drug use – POLITICO
Milei, a self-styled right-wing libertarian, also criticized Sánchez’s agreements with Basque and Catalan separatists, saying the Spanish prime minister had “endangered the unity of the Kingdom, by concluding pacts with the separatists and leading to the dissolution of Spain.
He added that illegal immigration to Spain threatened women’s safety.
The Spanish government categorically rejected Milei’s claims on Saturday, saying they “do not correspond to the relations of two brotherly countries and peoples.”
Relations between Spain and Argentina have cooled since Milei’s election last December. The Argentine leader had publicly supported the Spanish right-wing opposition party Vox.
