Manchester United brace for a tough test as they travel to face Leicester City on Saturday afternoon.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have made a generally positive start to the campaign and sit fourth in the Premier League despite just one win in their last four games.
As the Foxes fight for form, there is no doubt that United will need their best players to get a result against Brendan Rodgers’ side.
Central defense is an area fans will be watching closely given the injury issues suffered by two of their more experienced defenders.
Rafael Varane will certainly miss the clash against Leicester after suffering an injury for France in their UEFA Nations League clash with Spain last week.
In a statement posted on club United’s website, they confirmed the extent of the injury, saying: “Raphael Varane injured his groin in the UEFA Nations League final and began his rehabilitation at the club.
“He will be away for a few weeks.
Harry Maguire is also a big doubt after suffering a calf injury.
The defender suffered the injury against Aston Villa and missed games with Villarreal and Everton, before being excluded from international service with England.
Solskjaer admitted ahead of the international break that he hopes Maguire will be fit to face Leicester, but that will be confirmed in the coming days.
In better news, Marcus Rashford could be in the running to face the Foxes after resuming full training after a long time on the sidelines with a shoulder injury.
