Apple today announced its latest Apple Pencil with USB-C. The new stylus sits between the first-generation Apple Pencil ($99) and the more capable second-generation model ($129) with a $79/€95/£79 starting price.
Apple Pencil with USB-C
The new Apple Pencil USB-C charges via USB-C and does not support wireless charging or pairing. It supports hover functionality on M2 iPad Pro models and can be magnetically attached to the side when not in use. The big omission here is the pressure sensitivity that is present on the first and second generation Apple Pencil models. You still get low latency for responsive typing as well as tilt sensitivity for shading.
