Antony’s representatives remain in England for the remainder of the transfer window as the Ajax star seeks a move to Manchester United.
The Brazil international continues to be one of the most talked about targets in Manchester’s red half, with manager Erik ten Hag keen for a reunion for his former striker.
The 22-year-old joined Ajax in February 2020 from Sao Paulo and went on to score 24 goals and register 22 assists for the Dutch giants.
With Ten Hag at the helm for the bulk of those appearances, it’s clear the Man United boss knows how to get the most out of him.
Although two offers have already been rejected, talkSPORT understands the Red Devils are preparing a third offer for Antony as they seek to convince Ajax to sell the player valued at around £84m.
In order to push through a move, Antony’s representatives would be based in London where United have offices in order to complete the deal.
However, with the Ajax board split over whether to sell, it remains to be seen if a deal will be reached.
The Dutch have already sold Lisandro Martínez to United, Sébastien Haller to Borussia Dortmund and Noussair Mazraoui and Ryan Gravenberch to Bayern Munich, meaning they are reluctant to lose another key player this summer.
But with Antony clearly determined to get a deal done, it depends on whether they can afford to keep a disgruntled player at the club if a move doesn’t materialise.
