Spurs manager Antonio Conte is set to speak to reporters this afternoon ahead of the North London derby weekend at Arsenal, the Italian’s second such game in his tenure. Spurs have already been hit with injury ahead of the trip to the Emirates Stadium, with Dejan Kulusevski a doubt with a hamstring injury.
Conte will discuss the latest squad news, with Hugo Lloris, Ben Davies and Lucas Moura all also doubtful for Saturday’s midday kick-off. The goalkeeper has been nursing a muscle injury while on international duty, while Davies and Lucas are struggling to overcome knee and calf issues.
The the press conference should start around 2:45 p.m., and Chief Football Correspondent Dan Kilpatrick will be at Hotspur Way to hear and report on what Conte has to say. Follow Antonio Conte’s press conference at Tottenham ahead of Saturday’s North London derby below!
Spurs assess Oblak offer
Away from the more immediate matters, a reminder of our big transfer news line from yesterday as Tottenham mapped out a long-term succession plan for captain Hugo Lloris, along with Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak among their targets.
Lloris is in his 10th season at Spurs but is set to leave when his contract expires in 2024 and the club are making plans for life after the 35-year-old France World Cup winner.
Tottenham have identified Oblak as a prime target to be their next No.1 and sounded out the Slovenian, who has a contract until 2028, but Atletico are ready to discuss a transfer for the 29-year-old after nearly a decade of service.
Spurs head coach Antonio Conte has spoken to general manager Fabio Paratici about a long-term plan to possibly replace Lloris.

Some injury concerns
Antonio Conte will provide the latest information on Dejan Kulusevski’s fitness, while question marks remain over the fitness of Hugo Lloris, Ben Davies and Lucas Moura.
Spurs skipper Lloris pulled out of the France squad during the international break with a thigh injury and now faces a crucial fitness test ahead of Saturday’s game.
Davies is unlikely to be fit after suffering a hairline fracture to the bone just below his knee before the break, missing out on the 6-2 win over Leicester two weeks ago.
Lucas has been nursing a muscle injury for several weeks.
Deki a doubt derby
Spurs fans woke up to some negative injury news this morning, courtesy of Dan Kilpatrick, with Dejan Kulusevski a big doubt for the derby.
The striker played both games for Sweden during the international break but returned to Tottenham with a hamstring injury.
