Several celebrities including footballer Antoine Griezmann and actor Omar Sy were moved, Saturday, January 23, at the fate of a 15-year-old boy who was beaten up last week in Paris and hospitalized in serious condition.
They reacted in particular to a video presented as being that of Yuriy’s assault, widely shared on social networks where it aroused outrage.
We see a dozen young people in sportswear and hooded jackets kicking and beating or sticking a person lying on the ground on a square lit by street lamps, before abandoning him lying there.
“Unbearable images. Force yourself Yuriy and get well,” Antoine Griezmann tweeted on Saturday.

“Good recovery to you Yuriy, I think of you and yours”, for his part wrote Omar Sy on the social network.
“Images as violent as they are unbearable. By a fucking bunch of cowards! All my support for Yuriy and his family,” swimmer Amaury Leveaux also tweeted.
“An attack of incredible savagery”, meanwhile denounced, still on Twitter, the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin, while an investigation for “attempted murder in a meeting” was opened on the day of facts.

“Support for the young boy and his family. The investigation should shed light on the facts and challenge the perpetrators of this filthy act,” added the minister.
“They cut open his skull, broke his arm, finger, shoulder and ribs”
According to reports from his relatives to the press, the young man was with a group of friends on Friday after leaving college, when they were assaulted by a gang of young people near the Beaugrenelle shopping center.
Witnesses spoke of a brawl between rival gangs, without being able to say whether or not the victim was part of one of them.
According to a source close to the investigation, Yuriy found himself isolated in the middle of a group who badly beat him and left him in serious condition.
“I arrived when he was in the fire engine, he was in horrible condition. They cut open his skull, they broke his arm, finger, shoulder and ribs,” told BFMTV the mother of the victim.
“His condition is stable, but above all what is hard is that we do not know how we will find him, if he will come back among us as he was before”, she added, launching a call for witnesses to find the aggressors and “so that no child suffers what (s) one son has suffered”.
