Andrew Giuliani, candidate for mayor of New York and son of former city mayor Rudy Giuliani, had an embarrassing argument with a TikTok user known as “Crackhead Barney”.
Mr. Giuliani was campaigning in Times Square when he met the TikTok user, who describes himself as running “your favorite anti-fascist show”.
In the video, Crackhead Barney walks up to speak to Mr Giuliani and begins to ask him why he is running for mayor.
“I am running for governor. I represent Israel today,” Giuliani told the TikTok user.
“Are you going to be like your daddy,” Crackhead Barney asks.
Mr. Giuliani tried to dodge the question, saying he wanted “to see a New York where you have an Israel that is respected.”
Crackhead Barney then tried to insult Mr. Giuliani by telling him “I hate your father, I hate him”.
Mr. Giuliani, trying to remain a diplomat, said “I’m fine”, adding that he thought someone would be “beheaded” for this kind of insult in Palestine.
The candidate’s entourage were less forgiving and started yelling Crackhead Barney, shouting “F *** you” at the TikTok star.
The two then argue over whether the other has ever visited Palestine.
The exchange was the latest in a series of bizarre comments Mr. Giuliani made.
Earlier this year, he claimed he had “spent part of five decades in politics” – although he never held an elected post and was only 35 years old.
He also claimed that anti-coronavirus antibodies were better protection than getting the vaccine, suggesting that it is in the best interests of people to get the virus rather than getting the vaccine.
“The only good thing about the antibodies if you’ve had them is that they’re actually even better than the vaccine, and here’s why. With the vaccine you can still transmit, with the antibodies you can’t. not transmit, ”he said.
According to public health officials, there is no evidence that people who have antibodies to the coronavirus cannot pass the virus on, and people who have had the virus once can contract it multiple times.
