Americans are tired of woke corporate ‘dumb activism’

Americans are tired of corporate woke “dumb activism,” Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (right) said Friday during a speech at the Moms for Liberty Joyful Warriors National Summit in Tampa on Friday.

“Americans are sick of some of these companies and their stupid activism and they wanted somebody to stand up, they wanted somebody to stand up and say, no, we’re not going to let you twist our political process here in the state of Florida,” DeSantis said during the speech, where he detailed the steps his administration has taken to combat woke leftist ideology.

“So I think it had a good reverberation across the country. I don’t think you’ve seen these companies being that aggressive on some of these issues,” he said, explaining that it’s ” one thing to get things done in the political arena”.

“But when they can’t get things done through the ballot box to use corporate power to do that, and to impose, basically a left-wing agenda, through corporate America, you know, you have to get away with it. concern, and you ‘must realize that this is something we have to fight against,’ he continued, explaining that his administration has addressed the problem in a variety of ways, including signing the Stop WOKE Act.

“But one of the bills that we wrote that was really important was really looking at things like critical race theory and other kinds of ideologies, not just in the classrooms, but in corporate workplaces,” he said, further explaining that woke corporations are a relatively newer issue.

“An awakened society 10 years ago wasn’t something that people would have really understood, back then, but you look at how they were able to advance an awakened ideology in corporate America with the media with Big Tech serving of censorship arms,” DeSantis added.
