American farmers and small county governments are feeling Biden’s inflation on multiple fronts: Blackburn

Senator Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., told “The Ingraham Angle” on Friday that President Biden’s agenda is the source of the energy crisis, and county governments and farmers in his state are bearing the brunt of the cost increases.

SEN. MARSHA BLACKBURN: They can never say Joe Biden said he was going to end the oil and gas industry – and on day one he set out to take the necessary steps to make that promise come true – with the Keystone [XL], with ANWR going offline, with your offshore drilling ending; stop fracking; The list is lengthened increasingly.

He has had 42 settlements since he took office that directly aim to make it harder for the oil and gas industry to drill, explore, produce and refine here in the United States.

And I’ve been to five counties in Tennessee today… It’s amazing. Each of them is worried about the budget of his county.

All those county budgets: They needed an eight-inch pipe for a water line. They paid $4 a foot for that pipe. You know what it is right now, $14.50 a foot. So all these products that come from oil and gas derivatives, you see the price increases there too: inflation at 9.1%; your groceries go through the roof, your price at the pump goes through the roof. People just can’t afford it.

Food shortages; the fear that it causes people, the way they anticipate food shortages – because in rural America they know farmers don’t plant as much this year to get into that supply chain for our food you go see it on the shelves next year. And the reason they don’t crash [is] the cost of fertilizers, the cost of diesel; they can’t afford to plant the crop.
