Allison Janney opened up about her status as a happy single woman in a candid interview on “The Drew Barrymore Show” on Tuesday.
Barrymore, who said she was also single, asked Janney, “You said in the world that you are not looking to get married or have children – is that the truth?”
“Yeah,” replied Janney, 61. “I think if I had found the right guy at the right time who wanted to have kids, I probably would have him with the right partner, because I was never really convinced that I wanted to have kids.
“I’d rather regret not having children than having children and regret it,” said the “Mom” actor, who was previously engaged to actor Richard Jenik, with a laugh. “You know, I’m okay with that.
“I am really [at] this time in my life learning to know who i am and what i want. I would love to find – eventually find – someone to share my life with, but if that doesn’t happen, you’ll be fine. But that would be good, ”added the actor.
“Right now, do you know what I’m doing?” I go out virtually. My latest crush is Rip on ‘Yellowstone’, ”explained Janney.
For her part, Barrymore said she no longer had a crush on TV stars these days because she spent her time watching “disturbing documentaries” – although she did mention that she had tried dating apps, which she had already mentioned. .
“I finally booked a date with a guy. And then he got me up at the exact time we were supposed to meet, ”Barrymore told comedian Nikki Glaser in January. “And I was like, ‘Can’t you be a jerk like, an hour before? It would have been a huge time saver. ”
While acknowledging that getting up is an unfortunate side effect of all online dating, the actor said she “felt so stupid.”
When Glaser attempted to say that the man in question who canceled may have been intimidated by the power of the Barrymore star, the actor quickly corrected that narrative.
“No – I think he’s just a rude person who has reasons that suit him perfectly, but treats them all the wrong way,” she said. “Fuck Nikki, we have to face the facts. It can be personal, it just might not – whatever. Let’s not get confused in the middle of it all.
