Alan Brazil’s betting column: Liverpool to keep heat on Man City, Chelsea put troubles aside to beat Newcastle and Arsenal to keep top four charge

Manchester United vs Tottenham is a stunning fixture, but you just don’t know who each side will show up each week and that’s why it’s the main focus of this week’s talkSPORT tipping column – with the top four races that really open up.

I remember playing at Old Trafford and scoring a header for Tottenham before United came back to win – and they may have to do it again this weekend.

Kane has returned to his best in recent weeks

Ronaldo could make a comeback against Tottenham after missing the Manchester Derby

It’s fascinating now who’s going to get that fourth place and two of them will face off on Saturday, so that’s really where we’ll see the form of the season from either side.

But with news of Roman Abramovich sanctioned and Chelsea in chaos, who knows? There could be two places up for grabs now, with the third AND the fourth.

Many people had already crowned Manchester City Premier League champions. But Liverpool still have to play them, there are still so many big games to come and Jurgen Klopp’s side are chasing the treble.

It’s another cracker isn’t it?

It really is a very important match. Cristiano Ronaldo was apparently dropped for the match against City, but that didn’t work out, did it? United were really poor.

But he trained on his own saying, ‘OK, I’m not going to cause any problems but I want to play, I want to play’.

While Harry Kane, on the other hand, is just fantastic right now, he’s got form for this game.

My problem with Spurs is that you don’t know who is going to show up – you could say that about United too, Marcus Rashford is always everywhere.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Spurs nicked it, but it’s a big tie, not massive. I will sit on the fence and draw and 1-1.

You can’t not watch Kane to score as he’s in great form again.

So for Spurs I would go Kane and for United Ronaldo to get one when he returns.

Stat: Kane has scored 93 goals in 137 Premier League away games – one more will see him tie Wayne Rooney for the most away goals in the competition’s history.

Brighton v Liverpool

Tips from Brazil: Liverpool win 2-0 and Virgil Van Dijk scores at 40/1 (888Sport)

It will be a very good game. Brighton have been good this season, but they have faltered a bit recently.

Liverpool are beginning to think there may be light at the end of the tunnel to catch up with Manchester City.

So for that reason they can’t fail Brighton which will make it difficult but I think Liverpool will be too strong.

The Seagulls have a good move to threaten the Reds but the home side will have their tails up. It won’t be easy for Liverpool but I will make it 2-0.

Mo Salah, you have to step back to score, but it could be a free kick. If someone were to have a small bet, even a punt, maybe Virgil van Dijk would score something like that from a free kick for a big prize.

Stat: Liverpool have scored 1,998 Premier League goals and could become the second team to reach the 2,000 mark after Manchester United. 10% of those goals came from Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

Van Dijk has scored three goals this season, including against Southampton in November and Leeds in February

Chelsea v Newcastle

Everything is up in the air for Chelsea at the minute with sanctions against Roman Abramovich from the British government.

This places the cat among the pigeons.

Chelsea have quality players, but surely this will have an impact on them? It’s the unknown, what happens now? What kind of crowds will there be, will outside fans be allowed? I do not know!

Newcastle have recovered very well, but Chelsea are still of quality. I will aim for a narrow victory at Chelsea.

There’s a host of goalscorers at Chelsea, you never know who’s going to score… or play! But if Romeul Lukaku plays, I have to accompany him to score.

Stat: Chelsea are unbeaten in their last nine Premier League home games (W4 D5), since a 1-0 loss to Manchester City in September.

Lukaku was incredibly close to scoring against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final

Arsenal v Leicester

Brazil tip: 2-0 to Arsenal and Lacazette to score first at 22/1 (SkyBet).

It’s a big game for Arsenal, so important.

The Gunners seem, on paper, big favorites for a top four finish with the other teams around them with some of the toughest games to play.

We’ve already mentioned Man United and Spurs, Chelsea, but West Ham also had a tricky game against Aston Villa.

For this reason, this is a game that Arsenal must win. I just have a feeling they will too, I think I’ll go with an Arsenal win because Leicester without Vardy is a blow.

A 2-0 victory for Arsenal and Alexandre Lacazette at the net.

Stat: No team has kept fewer clean sheets in the Premier League than Leicester City this season.
