Actress Cheryl Hines was warned against marrying RFK Jr.

Close friends of Cheryl Hines had already warned the Limit your enthusiasm The actress opposed her marriage to womanizer and unsuccessful presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

They were reportedly “mystified” that she chose to marry the famous Kennedy descendant who, it was revealed, had an affair with political journalist Olivia Nuzzi in 2014.

Kennedy Jr. and the Dark Side of the DreamAuthor Jerry Oppenheimer wrote of his subject: “Any woman who gets involved with Bobby does so with her eyes open or her brain shut off. Any woman who thinks she’s going to change Bobby is misguided and willfully ignorant.”

Oppenheimer, a close friend of Kennedy’s who attended his wedding to Hines in Massachusetts, did not mince words, writing that one wedding guest “was puzzled as to why Hines had married Bob, since his womanizing history had become so public and was embroiled in scandal.”

The author added: “Women need to understand what they’re getting into when they’re with him. You can hate it, you can make excuses, you can do whatever you want, it doesn’t change the fact that he has a long history of behavior.”

Even before the marriage, Kennedy was accused of cheating due to his relationship with socialite Chelsea Chapman Kirwan.

Kennedy has six children. His first wife was Emily Ruth Black. His second wife, Mary Richardson, committed suicide in 2012. She reportedly kept a diary in which she listed all of her affairs with other women.

Hines, 58, shares a daughter, Catherine, 20, with ex-husband Paul Young.

Oppenheimer’s book tells how Hines Sidewalk Creator and star Larry David reportedly told Kennedy: “Nothing you do will ever upset her.”

Prophetic words indeed. It remains to be seen how Hines will react to the news of Kennedy’s cheating.
