‘General Hospital’ Star Johnny Wactor’s Mother Speaks Out After He Dies in Fatal Shooting

THE General Hospital The actor was shot and killed in downtown Los Angeles on May 25 while trying to stop a group of men from stealing a catalytic converter from a car, a police spokesman said from Los Angeles to NBC News. He was 37 years old.
Today, Wactor’s friend and colleague, who was at the scene, broke her silence during the attack, sharing what happened after the two men finished tending the bar for the night .
“My friend of 8 years went from laughing together, to working side by side, to leaving our bartending shift and walking to our cars,” buddy Anita Joy wrote on Instagram on May 29, “to him dying in my arms on the streets of DTLA in the dark hours of 3 a.m.”
Joy said the incident happened “in an instant” when she and Wactor approached the guys who were tampering with her car.
