DECATUR, Ala. –Decatur City officials have offered Acting Chief Todd Pinion the job of chief of the Decatur Police Department on a permanent basis.

“The one thing I couldn’t get across is that over the last four to five months we’ve seen our crime rate go down and employee morale go up,” McMasters said during the interview. meeting. “Because of that, I think he’s proven he can do the job.”
Pinion now has the ability to negotiate the terms of the position.
