‘Absolutely chaotic’ – Craig Dawson scores on Wolves debut with Liverpool defense criticized after conceding first two goals at Molineux
Liverpool have been criticized for their “absolutely chaotic” defense after conceding two early goals against Wolves at Molineux.
The Midlands side, who have already faced the Reds twice in 2023 in the FA Cup, took a 2-0 lead inside the opening 12 minutes.

Jurgen Klopp’s men fell behind in the fifth minute after Joel Matip inadvertently deflected Hwang Hee-Chan’s cross.
And the hosts doubled their lead soon after through debutant Craig Dawson as he capitalized on Liverpool’s dismal defence.
Making his first appearance after leaving West Ham, the 32-year-old kicked the ball into the roof of the net from inside the box.
Ruben Neves’ free-kick fell on Matheus Cunha, who hooked a cross into the box which Alisson failed to claim.
Matheus Nunes then had a blocked header, the ball falling to an unmarked Dawson who sent his shot home to the roar of the Wolves faithful.
Speaking on talkSPORT’s Duty of Comment, David Rowe hit out at the Liverpool defense as they failed to close Dawson.
