Food Universe employee Lisbel Rodriguez Luna had asked a woman online if other customers allowed her to cut. This question enraged the suspect, in her 50s, who allegedly returned with a gang, including her daughters, and beat the clerk.

No arrests have yet been made in the vicious attack – despite crystal clear security footage. Video from the scene shows the “surprise and terror” in the stock boy’s eyes as he tried to break up the fight. Incidents like this are why organizations are pushing for special protection for grocers as frontline workers.
