A road trip raises funds for deployed troops

HAGERSTOWN, Md. — A road trip is raising money to send monthly care packages to deployed service members.

The road trip was organized by JDog, in partnership with RED and Soldiers’ Angels, an organization that helps service members, veterans and their families.

On Thursday, the group traveled to Hagerstown in style in a custom-wrapped red BMW to raise awareness and secure donations.

The tour started in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, traveled through Maryland and ended in Pennsylvania.

“I think as Americans we go about our lives every day not realizing that there are troops constantly deploying every week,” said CEO and JDog Brands veteran Jerry Flanagan. For the past 70 years, troops have been deployed around the world to protect us and our country.”

The final leg of the tour ended in Philadelphia. Fundraising will continue throughout the month of May.
