An 18-year-old who just graduated from high school in Louisiana has been missing for two days after falling overboard from a boat in the Bahamas during a graduation ceremony, school officials said .

Cameron Robbins was on a senior trip after graduating from University High Lab School in Baton Rouge when he fell off the boat Wednesday night, a Louisiana State University spokeswoman told CNN.

The high school is operated by the university’s College of Humanities and Education. Robbins attended the school for all 13 years of his studies, principal Kevin George told CNN affiliate WBRZ.

“He’s a special kid who’s been here his whole school career. He’s an athlete, a great boy, a great smile, great hair. Just one of the kids you’re so proud of when they walk across the stage,” George said.

“The children contacted us to find out if they could make a prayer circle? Of course we agreed. We really appreciated their leadership during this difficult time,” he continued.

The U.S. Coast Guard assisted in the search with the Royal Bahamas Defense Force team, the Coast Guard tweeted Thursday. The agency added that Robbins allegedly fell overboard while on a sunset cruise near Nassau.

CNN contacted the Royal Bahamas Defense Force and the Royal Bahamas Police Force.
