Last night, before the Field of Dreams Game between the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds, two MLB legends kicked off the festivities.
Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr. and his father Ken Griffey Sr. were the first to step out of the cornfields and into the field.
As they entered the field, they recreated the scene from the end of the movie Field of Dreams, when Ray Kinsella finally sees his father, John, and they play a little game.
“Hey dad, do you want to have a peach?” asked Griffey Jr.
“I would love that, son,” replied Griffey Sr.
The two started playing a little catch-up, hitting everyone in the thrills.
"Hey daddy, wanna get a catch?"

Hey daddy, do you want to have a peach?
It’s a beautiful moment between father and son and shows the true pageantry of baseball.
When two legends recreate a scene from the classic movie, people are bound to cry, and that’s what happened last night before the game.
The father and son got into a game of catch on the Field of Dreams.
A baseball career usually starts when someone is just a kid and goes out into their backyard with their dad to play a little ball.
It was a looping moment for the Griffey duo, but also a callback to a classic scene from a classic movie, where Ray Kinsella finally meets his father.
Wrestling games between a father and a son are sacred, and these two legends were able to share a moment together before the big match.
The baseball is truly magnificent.
Our big old game is full of heartfelt moments, and we got to see another one last night.
