A law to improve air quality in schools should be announced

WETHERSFIELD, CT (WFSB) – A new proposal to improve air quality in schools is expected to be announced Tuesday afternoon.

Governor Ned Lamont said he would hold a press conference to discuss the proposal.

It is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Alfred W. Hanmer Elementary School in Wethersfield.

Lamont said the proposal will establish a grant program to help public school districts pay for heating, ventilation, and cooling (HVAC) systems and other air quality improvements in school buildings.
