A final poignant tribute to soldier Clément Élard, in Sibiril

A poignant tribute to Clément Élard, this young 26-year-old marine who died on November 9 during an exercise in Polynesia, took place this Tuesday afternoon in Sibiril (29) where he was from. A military ceremony, chaired by the Chief of Naval Staff, Nicolas Vaujour, first took place on the square, in the presence of his relatives and 150 soldiers, mainly from the Bernier marine rifle company, from Lanvéoc, and the Amyot d’Inville marine rifle battalion from Brest. The religious ceremony was then held in the church. His partners at the AS Santec football club paid tribute to the memory of Clément Élard, a teammate and friend endowed with profound human qualities.
