A new demonstration in solidarity with rapper Pablo Hasél degenerated into clashes with the police in Barcelona on February 21. For the sixth night in a row, demonstrators took to the streets of the Catalan city to protest the detention of the artist, who was arrested on February 16 by the Catalan police at the University of Lleida (or Lérida), where he had barricaded himself the day before with several of his supporters.
Pablo Hasél was sentenced to nine months in prison for tweets in which he insulted the Spanish security forces and attacked the monarchy.
