Magnitude 3.0 earthquake hits near Malibu, USGS says
This comes a week after a 4.7 magnitude earthquake struck the same region.

A preliminary magnitude 3.0 earthquake struck the Malibu area Friday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
MALIBU, Calif. (KABC) — A preliminary magnitude 3.0 earthquake struck the Malibu area Saturday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake struck around 2:15 p.m. about three miles from Malibu, at a depth of nearly six miles.
No injuries or structural damage were reported.
The quake comes a week after a 4.7-magnitude earthquake that struck the same area. In that quake, shaking was felt up to 60 miles (96 kilometers) away in Southern California. People reported feeling shaking as far away as Riverside and Newport Beach.
