The first-ever stripe out at Michigan Stadium looked fantastic for the marquee game against USC.
After the defenses traded stops early in the first quarter and Michigan converted a fourth down, the Wolverines got their first point on a 53-yard touchdown run by Kalel Mullings.
After Michigan had another fourth-and-1, at midfield, Mullings ripped through the USC line for a 53-yard touchdown.

Michigan’s ground game also looked much better. This time, it was Donovan Edwards who ran for a long touchdown to make it 14-0.
TOUCHDOWN: It’s Donovan Edwards’ turn. USC nipped Orji, who was holding the ball, and Edwards sprinted toward the hash marks for a 41-yard score. He finished an 80-yard drive

After Michigan jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first half, USC tightened the screws a bit with a field goal, and eventually a 75-yard touchdown run to start the second half.

Will Johnson just did some Will Johnson stuff with a pick-six to swing the momentum in Michigan’s favor in the third quarter.
TOUCHDOWN: On third down, with the entire crowd on edge, Will Johnson makes an All-American play. He jumps on the drive and drives it in to give Michigan some much-needed momentum. An extra point doesn’t do any good, though.
