Google releases repair manuals for Pixel 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, and 9 Pro Fold

Last December, Google began offering Pixel repair guides in English (after being limited to French only). Repair manuals for the Pixel 9 series are now available.

Pixel 9 Pro XL teardowns have accused Google of hiding screws behind pieces of tape. This guide should help identify everything, as the document shows the different types of screws used:

The guides provide step-by-step instructions for opening and closing a Pixel device, though they require some prior repair knowledge. Google provides disassembly and assembly flowcharts that account for the dual-entry design.

It’s also worth noting that the Pixel 9, 9 Pro, and 9 Pro Fold “do not require UDFPS calibration.”

The Pixel 9 Pro’s repair manual is 272 pages long, while the 9 Pro Fold’s is 340 pages long.

Google has manuals going back to the Pixel 5a, with the Pixel tablet also included. The extended documentation came with the Pixel Diagnostic app last year: — *#*#7287#*#* — in the phone dialer.
