Brittany Cartwright Shares How She Got Her Glow Back After Filing for Divorce From Jax Taylor
Brittany Cartwright is focusing on rebuilding her self-esteem amid her divorce from Jax Taylor.
Shortly after filing to end their five-year marriage on Tuesday, Cartwright took to Instagram to share a sultry photo of herself in full glam.
“I got my glow back ✨,” she captioned the close-up, which showed her wearing a low-cut hot pink top.
The brunette beauty, 35, styled her long, highlighted hair into barrel-shaped curls that framed her tanned face.
With long lashes and a nude pout, the “Valley” star gave the camera a sexy look.
Cartwright’s co-stars, past and present, were quick to offer their congratulations and support.
“✨✨✨✨✨ baby is shining bright!” “Vanderpump Rules” star Scheana Shay captioned the post, while “Vanderpump Rules” alum Dayna Kathan finished Cartwright’s sentence with, “and we LOVE seeing it!!! 👏👏👏.”
“Yes!! I love you queen Britt 🤍✨,” commented “Valley” star Nia Sanchez, while Zack Wickham wrote, “Gorgeous 😍 I love you so much ❤️.”
Hours earlier, Cartwright had filed a petition in Los Angeles Superior Court to dissolve her marriage to Taylor, whom she married in her home state of Kentucky in June 2019.
She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the separation and listed the separation date as January 24, 2024.
Cartwright, who shares 3-year-old son Cruz with Taylor, requested full legal and physical custody of the toddler; however, she granted visitation rights to the 45-year-old former model.
As for the couple’s finances, Cartwright seeks to retain all assets she acquired through gift, inheritance, before the marriage or after the date of separation.
In addition to their appearances on “The Valley,” the “Vanderpump Rules” alums also opened a sports bar together in October called Jax’s Studio City and co-host a podcast called “When Reality Hits.”
It was on their podcast in February that Cartwright announced their split.
“Marriages in general are very difficult, and I had a particularly difficult year last year,” she told listeners at the time.
“Jax and I are taking some time apart, and I have made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health.”
Cartwright then revealed on the Season 1 finale of “The Valley,” which aired in June, what actually led to the breakup.
“He would go out to the bar and stuff, come home and have these horrible hangovers that made him mean as hell,” she told her castmates during the episode.
“Finally, after he yelled at me for hours… Cruz and I packed up and walked out of that house.”
Last month, Taylor — who admitted to cheating on Cartwright while they were dating — checked himself into a mental health facility, where he appears to still be.
Before starting treatment, he admitted to having “serious anger issues.”
Earlier this month, while Taylor was away, it was reported that Cartwright was “hanging out” with “Bachelorette” alum Tanner Courtad; however, the nature of their relationship remains unclear.
Season 2 of “The Valley” is currently in production.
