Google to roll out Android 15 to Pixels in October

The Pixel 9 family launched a few weeks ago with Android 14 on board, and you might be wondering what Google’s plans are for the release of Android 15. According to a new rumor today, the company won’t roll out Android 15 to its Pixels until October, possibly around the middle of that month.

This is despite the fact that Google is expected to release the source code for Android 15 next week. Traditionally, the day the source code was released was also the day the Pixels began rolling out, but that has changed recently, with the Pixel team regularly holding back updates until they are fully ready.

This gives it more time to finalize the Pixel Drops’ release, test changes, and iron out last-minute bugs. Last year, the Pixel’s release was also delayed from its original schedule, and it looks like it’s going to happen again, for the same reason.

The same source claims that the Android 15 update for the Pixel is being delayed to improve its stability. Hopefully, there will be enough time by mid-October for this to become a reality.
