The league’s first game in Brazil will feature two playoff teams. It will also be the first Friday opener for NFL teams since 1970.

The Packers played outside the United States several times, although most were preseason games. They have played two preseason games in Canada (1997 in Toronto, 2019 in Winnipeg) and one in Tokyo in 1998. They have played only one regular season game abroad: the 2022 game against the Giants of New York to London. , which they lost 27-22.
