‘90210’ Star Shannen Doherty Reveals She’s Fighting for Her Life in Emotional Speech

Shannen Doherty has revealed she is fighting for her life as she received a standing ovation during a panel at the 90s Con this weekend.

Doherty was joined by her “Beverly Hills, 90210” co-stars, Tori Spelling, Jason Priestley, Brian Austin Green and Jennie Garth, as they answered questions from audience members.

Doherty, 52, became emotional, telling the crowd, “Thank you so much,” according to People magazine. “You know how much I like to cry constantly. And that’s what I do, it seems. So, thank you.”

The actress then gave an update on her health as she battles stage four breast cancer: “I’m fighting for my life, I’m fighting every day. I think I’m doing really well.”

The actress revealed that her breast cancer had returned and spread to her brain in a social media post in June. Doherty’s doctors found metastases, which she called metastases, on her brain on January 5, and the actress began radiation treatment on January 12.

She shared a video compilation of her undergoing a scan at the time.

“My fear is obvious. I am extremely claustrophobic and had a lot going on in my life,” Doherty wrote. the post office. “I’m lucky because I have great doctors like Dr. Amin Mirahdi and the amazing technicians at Cedar Sinai. The actress is “doing well” after the new cancer diagnosis has been revealed, a rep for Doherty told Fox News Digital.

Doherty was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. The actress underwent eight rounds of chemotherapy and radiation as well as a single mastectomy before going into remission in 2017.

In 2018, Doherty revealed that his tumor markers were “high.”

She wrote on Instagram: “Test and results. One tumor marker test came back good. Others…high. Just means I’m being monitored and another test.”

“But even after that call, I stay positive and take stock of my life. It definitely helps put things in perspective and reminds you of what you’ve learned during your cancer journey. And I sometimes need a reminder. (sic)”

Doherty has continued to work since the cancer returned. She appeared on “List of a Lifetime”, “Dying to Belong”, “Fortress” and “Hot Seat”.

Doherty also joked about his recent divorce during Sunday’s panel. “My other job is getting engaged, married and divorced, and I do it very well,” she told the crowd.

The “Charmed” star filed for divorce in April because she “felt she had no other choice,” her rep told Fox News Digital. “Divorce is the last thing Shannen wanted.”

Doherty launched her career at age 11 when she appeared in “Little House on the Prairie.” She also starred alongside Sarah Jessica Parker in the 1985 film “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.”

However, the young actress rose to fame in the ’90s with her roles in “Beverly Hills, 90210” and “Charmed.”
