77% think bidenflation has an impact on their holiday season

Seventy-seven percent of Americans believe inflation has an impact on their vacations, according to the Yahoo News / YouGov poll on Tuesday.

While a majority of Americans blame President Joe Biden for the inflation that stifles their vacation, only 18% think “Biden is doing enough to fix it.”

The poll also shows that overall, eight in ten Americans are affected by rising prices for everyday consumer goods. Thirty-seven percent say it hurts them “a lot” and 40% say “a little”.

Specifically, six in ten Americans believe they are suffering from “shortages of goods and services.” Seventeen percent say the shortages affect them “a lot” and 44% say “a little”.

The poll also found that a majority or 51% of Americans are “worried” about “not being able to afford what they need during the holidays due to inflation.” Another 45 percent are “worried” that they will not be able to get what they need because of food shortages.

The survey comes as businesses increase costs for consumers. Dollar Tree announced on Tuesday that it was increasing its prices by 25%. Reports also indicate that General Mills is raising prices by 20%.

Dollar Tree and General Mills are not the only companies struggling with bidenflation. Entire sectors are experiencing price increases due to inflation. Retail prices have risen, house prices have risen, food prices have skyrocketed, and energy prices have skyrocketed.

Meanwhile, the wages of the American worker have fallen. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported in November that weekly earnings had fallen 1.4 percent.
