Gendarmes put an end to a clandestine party organized at the home of a 17-year-old who had taken advantage of his parents’ absence. 72 people will have to pay a fine of 135 euros.
A party organized on the evening of February 23 after the start of the curfew in the commune of Union (Haute-Garonne), near Toulouse, resulted in 72 verbalizations after being discovered by the gendarmes.
A 17-year-old took advantage of the absence of his parents to invite friends at 7 p.m., an hour after the entry into force of the curfew aimed at fighting the Covid epidemic, according to the gendarmerie.
This young man told the gendarmes that he was quickly overwhelmed by dozens of people who were not invited. When this number was probably greater than a hundred, the gendarmes discovered the party and fined 72 people who will have to pay a fine of 135 euros each.
Between 30 and 40 other people broke through the fences and managed to escape. As for the organizer of the evening, he was heard and “will have to be explained to justice”, still according to the gendarmerie.
