NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Police are searching for a man seen on video beating and robbing a 68-year-old man last week in the Bronx.
This happened shortly before 1:30 a.m. Thursday on Westchester Avenue near Evergreen Avenue in the Soundview neighborhood.

Surveillance video shows the suspect tripping the victim from behind, knocking him to the ground.
The suspect then hits the victim several times and rips his wallet from his pants.

Police said the suspect fled with $ 70 and the man’s ID.
The victim suffered from bruises and bruises on the face and was treated on the spot.
