5 injured in shooting near Big Four Bridge in Kentucky

Five teenagers were injured after being shot near the Big Four Bridge in Louisville, Kentucky, on Saturday, the Louisville Metro Police Department said.

LMPD Major Brian Kuriger told a press conference on Saturday that law enforcement received a call around 9:05 p.m. and police arrived at the scene to find three teenagers with gunshot wounds who had been transported to the university hospital with at least one of the individuals. critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

Two teenagers then arrived at the hospital for treatment in their own car with non-life-threatening injuries.

Kuriger noted that the incident happened in a “family area” but “minors…unsupervised” have been populating the park lately.

The victims were both men and women, but their ages were not yet known.

The police have no suspects yet and the Homicide Unit of the LMPD is handling the investigation.
